Our Impact

  • Since 2001, over 2,200 people have participated in our programs. Today there are over 1,300 people in our programs, including over 450 single adults, 200 families with more than 450 children and 35 unaccompanied youth.

  • Hearth Connection has helped to secure over $45 million from the Minnesota Legislature for services in supportive housing through the Supportive Housing and Managed Care Pilot and the Long-Term Homeless Supportive Service Fund.

  • Since 1999, Hearth Connection has raised over $5.3 million from foundations and private investors.

  • Hearth Connection has built and manages a network of supportive housing providers that includes 15 mobile teams and 3 sites.

  • Hearth Connection has developed systems to track participant outcomes and demonstrate the success of supportive housing.

  • An evaluation of the Pilot carried out by the National Center on Family Homelessness proved that supportive housing causes a dramatic shift in government costs away from expensive crisis and institutional care like jails, prisons, hospitals and detox to cost-effective outpatient care like doctors, psychiatrists and medicine.
